mini Baccarat

Procedure of Play
Unlike regular baccarat with its player participation, mini-baccarat is played
at a blackjack size table where the dealer controls everything. The dealer
will put two cards, face up, to the left hand or player hand. The dealer will
then put two cards, face up, to the right hand or banker hand. The two hands
and their values will be compared and depending on the totals a third card may
or may not be dealt to each hand. Players place wagers on either the player
hand, banker hand or a tie hand.
The Rules
Each numbered card less than ten is worth its face value, aces are worth 1, and
tens and face cards are worth 0. The suit does not matter. Play begins by the
player betting either on the 'player', 'banker', or a tie. Player and Banker do
not represent actual hands held by the player or the banker. They are just
names of the two hands.
After the bet has been placed the dealer gives two cards
each to the player hand
and the banker hand. The score of the hand is the right digit of the total of
the
cards. For example if the two cards were an 8 and 7, then the total would be
15,
and the score would be a 5. The scores will always range from 0 to 9 and it is
impossible to bust.
A third card may or may not be dealt to either or both the
player and the dealer
depending on the following rules:
If either the player hand or the banker hand has a total of
an 8 or a 9 they both
stand. This rule overrides all other rules.
If the player hand total is 5 or less then the player hand
is dealt a third card,
otherwise the player hand stands in which case the banker hand would receive
another card if it's has a total of 5 or less. If the player hand receives a
third
card, use the chart below to determine whether or not the banker hand receives
a
third card:
